Children Whisperer

I get along better with kids than adults. My roommate calls me, "The Children Whisperer" as in I totally understand them and that they love me. It's a known fact.
It may be because I'm five years old.

To My Future Business Partner...wherever you may be...

I was in charge of storytime for the Toy Store I work at. I'm a pro at storytime. Seriously. It's my thing. I think my managers didn't know just how amazing it was going to be. Afterward a co-worker of mine said and I quote, "That was f***ing professional. You are amazing at this. You need to have your own business. I'm dead serious."

And I've thought about it. I would love to have my own educational center that focuses on literacy for children with loads of drama games and imaginary play. It has crossed my mind many times. I'm not business savvy though. I would need someone who is good at that to help me. I'm better at the artsy stuff. I'm no good with all that paperwork. So if I find the right business partner who doesn't mind doing all that while I just stick to the curriculum and creativity then I'd be happy.

Click. No more.

So I have Republican friends, and I have Democrat friends and I love them all. Seriously. But when it's election year, I really start to get annoyed. There's too much bashing and thrashing and serious horribleness that some (not all) partake in. I tend to click the link on Facebook to not get updates from them anymore. Click. No more.
I don't know how one can have that much hatred for another. It sickens me. No matter what party you're in.

Annie Thompson

I have an "alter ego" as I call her. Her name is Annie. Annie Thompson. She goes to Columbia University and she's from Pennsylvania. She's studying radiology. She lives in The Heights. She only comes out when creepy people like to talk to me on the subway. She's not much of a party animal, and likes reading cook books. She also likes to knit and she is obsessed with Nutella. And I wouldn't be her friend if I met her.

She had to come out again today. Subways were miraculously running again though very limited. And they were free, so of course the crazies came out to play. So of course Annie did too.
